Porsche 911S 2.7 uit 1975

Historie Porsche 911S 2.7 liter (1974-1977)

History Porsche 911S 2.7 liter (1974-1977)

Porsche made a model change every year from 2.0, 2.2, 2.4 to 2.7 liters. The 911s 2.4 F model’s consumption of 1 in 4 was no longer accepted in the early 1970s. The development department in Weissach came up with a solution and so the 2.7 received a Bosch injection system in combination with a larger displacement.

The result is more efficient fuel consumption and at low rpm the driver has more power at his disposal. Due to regulations, the 911 had to be fitted with shock-absorbing bumpers. The stylists at Porsche introduced bumpers that were beautifully incorporated into the overall design. The charming classic narrow body was retained and in 1976 the 911 was hot-dip galvanized and received an electric and heatable exterior mirror.

Porsche 911S 2.7 from 1975

Once-you-go-black…..This Porsche 911 was delivered new in California in 1975 in triple black. Not an obvious combination considering the number of sun hours there. The climate in this region also guarantees perfect preservation of classics. That is no different with this beauty and at the end of 2018 a rock solid 911 was put on the boat to the Netherlands. The owner was looking forward to a new restoration project.

Together with the skilled team at Eastend Classics, he restored and overhauled the 911S so that it was once again ready for years of driving pleasure. The client says, “To this day I love this car, but I want to start new project. That’s why this Porsche 911S is going up for sale.”

Engineering

During the disassembly, it turned out that the car was in good and original condition. And so the focus was on making the car even more beautiful. The chassis and brakes were also overhauled with great expertise. The wiring harness could be improved in some places. This was done in consultation with Kroon Wire Harnesses. The exterior was renewed by Eastend Classics. The car received an extensive rust treatment with epoxy and a new, original 2K paint. This paint is UV-resistant, can withstand scratches and is resistant to many aggressive liquids. 2K paint instead of water-based paint. A beautiful car deserves only the very best.

Interior

Eastend Classics’ partners have provided the car with new upholstery, the irresistible Tartan that combines perfectly with the timeless black paint. Of course an iconic MOMO Prototipo steering wheel could not be missing.
